Funding Bridge Consulting

Nonprofit Grant Writing & Consulting That Begins With Understanding

Research-driven strategy. Persuasive writing. A compelling case for support.

I provide remote grant writing and nonprofit consulting services to faith-based ministries and human-services nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. I help organizations identify aligned funding opportunities, develop strong foundation and corporate grant proposals, assess grant readiness, strengthen their case for support, and communicate their mission and impact to funders and donors.

My approach combines careful research, strategic thinking, persuasive writing, and a deep understanding of people and human needs. The strongest proposals don't simply describe programs—they help funders understand the need, recognize the value of the work, and see what their investment can make possible.

Why this work exists

The Heart of Funding Bridge Consulting

The heart of my work is helping human-services nonprofits and faith-based ministries make a stronger case for the resources their programs need to serve people, families, and communities. Through careful research, grant-readiness assessment, sound funding strategy, and persuasive grant development, I help organizations show funders who they serve, what needs people face, and how their work can make a meaningful difference.

Continuing Professional Education with Dr. Beverly A. Browning

I’m delighted to be continuing my professional education through the end of 2026 with a series of five courses developed by Dr. Beverly A. Browning, covering grant writing and the development of a grant consulting practice. I deeply appreciate the opportunity to learn from an accomplished professional who has devoted decades to developing her expertise and generously sharing that knowledge with others.

With more than four decades of experience, Dr. Browning is the author of numerous grant-related publications, including the widely recognized Grant Writing For Dummies. She is the founder of the Grant Writing Training Foundation and CEO of Bev Browning, LLC. Dr. Browning and her team have helped clients secure more than $750 million in grant awards. Her contributions have earned professional recognition, including the Grant Professionals Association’s Outstanding Contributor to the Grant Profession award. Her work as an author, consultant, and educator has helped organizations and grant professionals strengthen their approach to securing funding.

My own background includes more than 35 years of direct professional work with individuals, couples, and families. Through Funding Bridge Consulting, I bring that understanding of human needs together with specialized grant-development education, thoughtful research, and sound funding strategy. I look forward to applying what I learn through Dr. Browning’s coursework to help human-services nonprofits and nonprofit ministries approach funding opportunities with greater preparation, clarity, and purpose.

A complete approach

More Than Grant Writing

A successful proposal is rarely created by writing alone.

It begins with finding the right opportunity, researching the funder, understanding the organization and the people it serves, examining the need, gathering credible evidence, and determining how the work aligns with the funder's priorities.

That is why my grant development services extend beyond proposal writing to include grant research, funding strategy, grant calendars, grant-readiness assessment, donor communications, proposal review and editing, and nonprofit consulting.

Each part of the process contributes to a clear, credible, and compelling case for support.

Mission-aligned partnership

Who I Work With

I work with faith-based ministries and nonprofit organizations whose missions address human needs and strengthen people, families, and communities. This includes human-services nonprofits, mental health and behavioral health organizations, churches and ministries with charitable programs, community-based organizations, and other mission-driven programs.

These may include organizations serving:

  • Children, youth, and families
  • People with disabilities
  • Veterans and military families
  • Older adults and caregivers
  • Individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability
  • People affected by poverty and economic hardship
  • Survivors of trauma, abuse, or violence
  • Individuals seeking mental health and emotional wellness support
  • At-risk and underserved populations
  • Teen and young parents
  • People needing food, clothing, transportation, or other basic assistance
  • Communities through education, mentoring, workforce development, and life-skills programs
  • Faith-based and ministry programs providing practical and spiritual support

This focus is especially valuable when a proposal must represent complex needs accurately, respectfully, and persuasively. Faith-based organizations are welcome, and their beliefs, mission, and ministry language are treated with understanding and respect.

Whether your organization needs support with a single proposal or broader help strengthening its case for support, the work begins with a clear understanding of your goals and the support required.
